Designed by experts in Mathematics and Applied Computing, this course equips you with advanced skills in data engineering, analytics, visualisation, statistical modelling, and machine learning.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with industry tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Python, RStudio, Tableau, and SQL, while developing expertise in coding, scalable data solutions, and business-driven data innovation.
Learning is delivered through lectures, tutorials, and workshops, supported by a dedicated academic team.
Academic Requirements
Minimum of CCC at A Levels, or 96 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification (e.g. BTEC National, OCR Diploma, Advanced Diploma).
GCSE English Language and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).

Language Requirements
Minimum IELTS score: in line with London Met’s standard requirements.
Applicants requiring a Student visa may need to provide a Secure English Language Test (SELT).
A Pre-sessional Academic English course is available for those wishing to improve their English before starting their degree.
Graduates will be well-prepared for roles such as Data Analyst, Data Programmer, Data Visualisation Specialist, IT Data Consultant, or Big Data Solutions Developer.
This degree also provides a strong foundation for positions with leading global companies (e.g. Facebook, Mastercard, Amazon, Microsoft, BBC) in roles such as Junior Data Scientist, Data Science Officer, or Associate Data Analyst.
It also serves as excellent preparation for postgraduate study or research.
