Accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS), this career-focused course equips you with the skills to excel in the computing industry. You’ll have the opportunity to gain professional Java certification, study core areas such as software design, mobile app development, and systems implementation, and specialise in fields like artificial intelligence or management support systems.
Taught in London, a global tech hub, the course blends theory, practical workshops, and industry placements, ensuring you graduate with both knowledge and real-world experience. On completion, you’ll be prepared for diverse careers in computer science and eligible to apply for registration as a Chartered IT Professional (CITP).
Academic Requirements
In addition to the University’s standard entry criteria, applicants should have:
A minimum of grades CCC at A level, or 96 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification (e.g. BTEC National, OCR Diploma, Advanced Diploma).
GCSE English Language and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).

Please note: up to nine examination exemptions may be available upon successful completion of corresponding modules. It is the student’s responsibility to complete the required modules to secure exemptions with professional bodies such as the ACCA. London Met cannot guarantee exemptions if the full three-year programme is not completed.
English Language Requirements
If you require a Student visa, you may need to provide results from a Secure English Language Test (SELT), such as Academic IELTS, meeting the University’s minimum requirements.
For applicants wishing to improve their English prior to enrolment, London Met offers a Pre-sessional Academic English course to help build language skills and confidence.
Graduates of this course will be equipped with the specialist knowledge, technical skills, and professional qualifications required to succeed across a wide range of roles within the IT and technology sector.
Previous graduates have secured positions at leading organisations such as Deloitte, Cyberclan, the NHS, and Kent Police, working in roles including cybersecurity engineer, software developer, digital forensic support officer, IT systems analyst, network field engineer, and infrastructure and security manager.
