Cybersecurity is a critical and rapidly growing field. This course provides a strong foundation in computing, networking, and security, covering topics such as networks, operating systems, programming, ethical hacking, digital forensics, and cloud security.
Hands-on learning takes place in our state-of-the-art cyber security laboratories, with opportunities to earn industry-recognised certifications including Cisco CCNA 1–4 and Network Security, in addition to your degree. The programme is delivered by highly qualified staff with strong industry links, ensuring practical relevance and career readiness.
Academic Requirements
Grades CCC at A level, or a minimum of 96 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification (e.g., BTEC National, OCR Diploma, Advanced Diploma).
GCSE English Language and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).

Please note: Up to nine professional examination exemptions may be available upon successful completion of specified modules. Exemptions cannot be guaranteed if the full three-year programme is not undertaken.
English Language Requirements
All applicants must demonstrate English proficiency. Students requiring a Student visa (formerly Tier 4) may need a Secure English Language Test (SELT), such as IELTS Academic, in line with University requirements.
For those wishing to improve their English prior to enrolment, a Pre-sessional Academic English course is available to build confidence and achieve the required level.
Graduates of this programme are well-prepared for careers in computer networking, cybersecurity, and the broader IT industry. Alumni have secured roles such as electronics engineers, evaluation analysts, and mathematics educators at organisations including Concurrent Technologies and Legal & General.
Students benefit from enterprise workshops and networking opportunities with potential employers, as well as optional work placements to gain practical industry experience. The course also provides a strong foundation for further study or research in related fields.
