To achieve the CHC52021 – Diploma of Community Services, students must successfully complete 20 units of competency, comprising 12 core units and 8 elective units. This qualification is designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and practical skills to support individuals and communities through effective service delivery, advocacy, and case management.

Academic Entry:
Applicants must have completed Australian Year 11 or an equivalent level of schooling, or hold a Certificate III or higher qualification from an Australian educational institution.
Work Placement Capability:
Applicants must be able to undertake work placements at two of the following settings: aged care, home and community care, disability care, or community service organisations.
Additional Requirements:
Some applicants may be required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment or attend an enrolment interview prior to acceptance.
Minimum Age:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the commencement of the course.
English Language Proficiency:
Overseas students whose first language is not English must provide evidence of English proficiency with an overall IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent, or successfully pass Abbey College Australia’s English proficiency assessment.
Graduates of the CHC52021 – Diploma of Community Services, with relevant work experience, may pursue employment in a variety of roles within the community services sector, including but not limited to:
