This qualification is designed for commercial cooks who assume supervisory or team leader responsibilities within kitchen environments. Individuals in this role work autonomously or with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment to address complex or unexpected challenges.

It prepares graduates for employment across a diverse range of kitchen settings, including restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafés, cafeterias, and coffee shops, equipping them with the skills to excel in dynamic culinary operations.

KCBT learners progressing from SIT30816 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Successfully completed the 25 units) will need to complete the following 8 units in this course.

Admission Requirements
Requirement Details
Academic Entry Successful completion of Year 11 or an equivalent qualification.
Minimum Age Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Program Prerequisite Completion of KCBT SIT30816 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
English Language Proficiency Minimum IELTS score of 5.0, PTE score of 36 or higher, equivalent qualifications, or successful completion of the KCBT placement test.
