Entry Requirements

Minimum Age

Applicants must be 18 years or older at the time the course begins.

Work Placement

Applicants must be able to complete a work placement in one of the following settings:

• Aged care

• Home and community care

• Disability care

• Community service organisation

Some applicants may be required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment or attend an enrolment interview before acceptance.

Academic Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Completed Australian Year 11 or an equivalent qualification, or

• Completed a Certificate III or higher from an Australian institution.

English Language Requirement

Applicants whose first language is not English must have:

• An overall IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent, or

• A pass result in the Abbey College Australia English entry test.
