The BA (Hons) Public Health and Community Studies degree at CU Coventry is designed to provide students with the theoretical knowledge, professional expertise, and work-based learning relevant to work within public health and healthcare initiatives at local, national, and international levels. The course aims to equip students with the skills required to excel in a multidisciplinary community environment and to effectively support various agencies, communities, and individuals in promoting health and well-being.
The program is structured as follows:
Year 1: Introduction to core public health principles, including health promotion, epidemiology, and the social determinants of health.
Year 2: Advanced study of community development, health policy, and research methods in public health.
Final Year: Focus on strategic public health management, leadership skills, and preparation for professional practice.
