M.Sc. in Hydropower Engineering is a two years (4 Semesters) program offered by Pokhara University. The program aims to produce highly skilled technical human resources capable of planning and designing hydropower projects while taking into account hydrological, sedimentological, geotechnical, socio-environmental, and climate change issues for long-term development.
The curriculum covers both theoretical and practical elements of defining, planning, constructing, and operating small and large-scale hydropower plants. The M.Sc. in Hydropower Engineering program will assist meet the demand for Master's level professionals who have a thorough understanding of the subject of hydropower. Graduates of this program should be able to work in multidisciplinary teams and undertake their own research. They will be experts in all elements of hydropower and will provide the knowledge required for inspection, maintenance, development, and application activities.
