The master in planning and operation of Energy Systems is an ongoing international master’s program at Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kathmandu University. The course is designed and targeted for professionals from nationals and internationals who want to have a career in energy sector in areas of Planning and operations.
The department has aimed to take 10 candidates in a batch and has offered four scholarships, two for the national candidate and two for the international candidate. If there are no international candidates and/or female candidates, the reserved seats for these categories will be considered under ‘Paying’ category.
Curriculum has been designed to focus on analysing energy systems from technical, commercial and policy standpoints, from generation of energy, storage and delivery. Students will explore energy finance, economics, energy markets and the operation of renewable and non-renewable energy systems.
