Master of Educational Sciences in Nepal (MES) is a recently introduced 2-year/4-semester master's degree program by Nepal Open University (NOU).
Eligibility:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any institution recognized by Nepal Open University (NOU)
Must appear and pass the entrance examination conducted by (NOU)

Academic requirements
A Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an institution recognized by Nepal Open University (NOU).
Students from backgrounds other than Education, such as BA, BSc, BBS, BBA, LLB or equivalent, must take a 3-credit additional education course.
Documents required
Duly signed completed application form.
Self-attested photocopies of mark sheet/transcript, character certificate and citizenship.
Two copies of recent passport-size photos
A scanned Voucher of Rs 1,000 was deposited to Nepal Khula Bishwa Bidhyalay (Nepal Open University) account at Global IME Bank.
Entrance Examination
Students must appear and pass the entrance examination conducted by Nepal Open University(NOU) to qualify for admission to the MES program.
The entrance examination consists of a written test designed to test content and communicative competence. It primarily focuses on the following specializations:

Instructional Design and Technology
Nepali Education
Master of Educational Science Specialization
MES specializes in two specific topics that are:
(i) Educational Governance and Leadership
Specialization in Education Governance and Leadership under the MES program aims to produce competent human resources in education who can lead, manage and administer educational institutions to ensure improved education outcomes.
This course is ideal for education leaders, managers, administrators, government employees in the education sector, and those working in the INGO/NGO sector.
(ii) Instructional Design and Technology
Specialization in Instructional Design and Technology focuses on producing specialists in instructional design and technology.
This course is ideal for teachers, educators, curriculum developers, instructional designers, and textbook writers. It concentrates on providing learners with various theories, contents, models and technologies useful in instructional designs and technologies.
