BE Civil is a four year (8 semesters) academic program launched in 2008, affiliated with Pokhara University. Civil engineering is the oldest branch of engineering which is growing right from the stone age of civilization.Civil engineers design, build, supervise, operate, and maintain construction projects and systems in the public and private sector, including roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and systems for water supply and sewage treatment. “Civil engineering is the area in which a wide knowledge of the mathematics and physical sciences gained by study, experience and practice is applied with judgment to develop ways to utilize economically the materials and forces of the nature for the progressive well being of man.”This degree will equip you to enter the civil or structural engineering professions, and, with further learning, allow you to become a Chartered Engineer. Civil Engineering incorporates application of mathematics and physical science furnished in experience for economic utilization of natural forces and resources for the batterment of mankind.
