MSc Medical Engineering (Cell and Tissue Engineering for Regenerative Medicine) is a multidisciplinary postgraduate taught master’s degree that focuses on the application of engineering, biology and medical science to develop regenerative therapies and engineered tissues. It is designed for students who want to explore how cell biology, biomaterials, molecular techniques, nanotechnology and novel therapies can be used to repair, replace or regenerate damaged organs and tissues — making a real impact on health and clinical treatments.
The course is one of the longest‑running programmes of its kind in the UK, building on Keele’s strong research reputation and hosted at the Guy Hilton Research Centre, a major centre for regenerative medicine and tissue engineering research.
