The CUA31020 Certificate III in Screen and Media offers students an introduction to the dynamic Creative Industries. Throughout the course, students participate in industry projects from initial concept to final production, enabling them to develop foundational skills while exploring a diverse range of industry-relevant topics.
JMC Academy’s Certificate III is designed to mirror real-world production roles and responsibilities within the creative sector. The program is highly practical and project-based, incorporating both individual and collaborative group work, while utilizing professional industry equipment and resources. In addition to technical skills, students will enhance their critical and creative thinking abilities, fostering employability and a comprehensive understanding of the contemporary workplace.
Assessment includes a combination of written tasks and hands-on projects. Students also benefit from access to JMC’s Plato platform, which provides course materials, subject resources, interactive discussion forums, and detailed assessment briefs.
Course Structure
The CUA31020 Certificate III in Screen and Media is a nationally recognised qualification under the CUA Creative Arts Training Package. Successful completion requires the following units of competency:

Admission Requirements
Academic Entry Requirements
Completion of Year 10 or an equivalent qualification.
Minimum Age to Apply
Applicants must be at least 17 years of age at the commencement of the course.
Language Requirements
Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency through one of the following accepted English language tests:
IELTS: Overall score of 6.5 with no individual band score below 6.0
TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 73 with a minimum writing score of 18
PTE (Pearson Test of English): Score between 50 and 57
CAE (Cambridge English Advanced): Overall score of 169
