This program provides a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience where you will design and develop characters and immersive worlds – taking your ideas from concept to finished artwork. You’ll also gain the expertise to craft believable character performances and create engaging, visually dynamic motion graphics.

Customise Your Learning Path

Pursue your passion by selecting from a diverse range of major and minor streams:

• Choose a Major:
  Focus your studies in either 2D Animation or 3D Animation – or opt to explore both.

• Select Complementary Minors:
  Enhance your creative skill set by adding a minor in one of the following areas:

  • Game Design

  • Computer-Generated (CG) Art

  • Production Art

This flexible structure allows you to combine technical knowledge with artistic practice, ensuring you graduate with a well-rounded, industry-ready portfolio.

From Concept to Screen

Throughout your studies, you will engage in real-world projects that mirror industry workflows. You’ll experience the full animation production pipeline, from storyboarding and concept development to rendering and post-production – empowering you to bring visual stories to life with impact and originality.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for entry into this program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Minimum Age Requirement

• Applicants must be 17 years of age or older at the time of application.

Academic Entry Requirements

Applicants must satisfy one of the following:

• Successful completion of Year 12 in the Australian school system; OR

• An equivalent qualification, such as a Senior Secondary Certificate with a pass in General English; OR

• A relevant certificate:

  • Certificate IV (or higher) – for Bachelor-level program applicants

  • Certificate III (or higher) – for Diploma-level program applicants; OR

• Applicants aged 21 years or older may be considered for mature-age entry, subject to additional assessment.

English Language Proficiency

International applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency by meeting one of the following minimum test scores:

• IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.0, with no band lower than the institution's accepted threshold

• TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 73, with a minimum of 18 in Writing

• Pearson PTE Academic: Overall score of 50

• Cambridge English (CAE - C1 Advanced): Overall score of 169
